SAHARA Las Vegas Overview

Situated on the far northern end of The Strip, the SAHARA Las Vegas is a high-end hotel that has gone through multiple updates since initially opening in the early 1950s. Following a 2020 multi-million revamp, the 1600-room property now boasts an expansive casino floor with well over 600 slot machines and 50 gaming tables, as well as a spanking new pool and a bevy of fresh, celebrity chef-driven restaurants. An on-site cafe, rooftop pools, a fitness center, a spa, and multiple dining options round off SAHARA’s highlights.

The rooms at the SLS Las Vegas are housed across three towers, each offering its own theme and aesthetics, and they range from chic crash-pads to huge suites.

These state-of-the-art accommodations are outfitted in a calming palette of blue and cream and furnished with Serta mattresses, mini-fridges, and large 55-inch HD TVs

While visitors who recently stayed at the hotel raved about its modern appeal, they say rooms are rather small and customer service is wanting when compared to other Vegas hotels.

Rooms & Suites at the SAHARA Las Vegas

The SAHARA Las Vegas offers a mix of 1613 ultra-modern rooms spread across three distinctive towers: Blanca, Marra, and Alexandria. Although each room features a unique design and personality, they’re all stylish and modern. Guests love that these accommodations combine extravagance with the striking minimalist appeal Philippe Starck has come to be known for.

All guest rooms at SAHARA Las Vegas are furnished in a soothing color palette of blue & cream and are equipped with sleek bathrooms, fully stocked minibars, Serta mattresses, and 55-inch HD TVs. The monochromatic tone is mirrored in the grass-esque decorations on the wallpaper, while the black carpeting adds a nice contrast.

The designer’s signature bedside lamps and silver artworks round out the in-room atmosphere and décor. The Marra Tower rooms run small by Sin City standards, starting at 325 square feet, and have a cheery color scheme of pale pink, white, and black. Even so, the huge HD TVs and opposing lighted mirrors brighten up the space, making the rooms feel more spacious than they actually are. White sofas, huge work desks, and colored-crystal mini-fridges are standard in each room.

The Blanca Tower rooms are even smaller and feel more cramped, so they’re geared towards guests who are looking for nothing more than a spot to crash for the night. A brightening tone of yellow helps contrast the dark gray shades, but the rooms still feel stuffy. The bathing areas are equally designed for efficiency rather than luxury, with toilets vis-à-vis showers and sliding mirror doors.

The rooms in the Alexandria Tower are more spacious, and guests are pleasantly surprised by their intimate vibe. Each room features wall brackets, small chandeliers, and tufted window seating.

The suites at SAHARA are noticeably small by Vegas standards, starting at 440 square feet. However, the choice is splendid, including Blanca junior suite, Blanca king suites, ultra suites, and one-bedroom suites in the Blanca and Marra Towers. Premier suites are also available, and they include Penthouse and Legendary Suites.
